Protagoniste assolute delle due settimane di calcio femminile in Portogallo sono state Benfica e Braga. Erano ancora in ballo alcuni trofei pendenti dello scorso campionato interrotti a causa del Corona Virus. Il weekend ha risolto tutti i dubbi a riguardo.
Il primo match tra le due formazioni, andato in scena lo scorso 6 gennaio, era valido per la finale della Coppa di Lega della stagione 2019/2020. Ad Aveiro, la squadra di Lisbona ha vinto il primo trofeo dell’anno. Con un secco 3-0, le aquile hanno sbaragliato la concorrenza conquistando la terza coppa nazionale. Il primo gol è stato realizzato nel primo tempo da Cloe Lacasse (44 ‘). A raddoppiare ci ha pensato Ana Vitòria poco dopo l’ora di gioco. A chiudere la partita ci ha pensato Nycole con un gran rigore al 74′.
Una settimana dopo esatto, il 12 gennaio, Aveiro è stato il teatro del secondo round tra le due squadre. Benfica e Braga si sono nuovamente incontrate per la finale della Coppa del Portogallo sempre valevole per la stagione 2019/2020.
